Hasami Porcelain’s sleek lines represent the essence of traditional Japanese aesthetics. HASAMI PORCELAIN is made in the historic pottery town of Hasami, located in the Nagasaki prefecture of Japan. The clay used is a proprietary mixture of crushed stone from Amakusa, traditionally used in this region for over 400 years. Handcrafted in Japan.
Due to the organic nature of making this type of porcelain-ware, color variation among different pieces, color unevenness within a single piece, and appearance of ‘staining’ in the glaze, and textural difference, is all completely normal and part of its organic aesthetic.
